The normal range for estradiol in males is generally considered to be between 10 and 40 picograms per milliliter (pg/mL)

What is low estradiol for men?
Low estradiol levels in men can lead to various health concerns, including: Mood changes: Irritability and mood swings. Bone health: Decreased density, increasing osteoporosis risk. Energy and strength: Reduced energy levels and weak skeletal muscles. Sexual health: Diminished libido and erectile dysfunction.
 

Interpreting Results: 

Elevated estradiol levels can indicate conditions such as gynecomastia, testicular cancer, or pituitary disorders. 
 
Low estradiol levels may be associated with infertility or testosterone deficiency.
 
It’s important to note that normal estradiol levels can vary depending on age, health status, and medications.
 
Total Testosterone
A total testosterone test measures free testosterone & testosterone that’s attached to proteins.

 

DHEA-S

DHEA-S is a steroid hormone produced primarily in the adrenal glandsIt is a precursor to other hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. 

Typical normal ranges for males are:

  • Ages 18 to 29: 110 to 510 micrograms per deciliter (µg/dL) or 3.0 to 14.0 micromoles per liter (µmol/L)
  • Ages 30 to 39: 110 to 370 µg/dL or 3.0 to 10.0 µmol/L
  • Ages 40 to 49: 45 to 345 µg/dL or 1.2 to 9.4 µmol/L
  • Ages 50 to 59: 25 to 240 µg/dL or 0.7 to 6.5 µmol/L
  • Ages above 59: less than 204 µg/dL or less than 5.5 µmol/L
